Occupational therapy services provide support to individuals from various age groups across the lifespan, of all backgrounds, and of all needs, to reach goals. Littleversity is a paediatric service with a focus on early development and intervention, therefore we service young children through to about age 12.
Occupational Therapists work alongside the individual (and in many cases, their parents/caregivers or other key supports) to achieve goals and participate in life activities (aka, occupations) that they are expected, needing, or wanting to do. For children, this may include:
As play is a child’s main occupation, goal and skill development is built into play. So, whilst it might just look a lot like fun and games, rest assured Littleversity Occupational Therapists purposefully select activities that will keep your child engaged, keen for learning and working towards their goals.
Littleversity is a mobile paediatric occupational therapy service, providing support at your desired locations including home, school (such as pre-school and kindergarten) or other negotiated locations.
We are currently servicing Adelaide’s North, East, and North-Eastern suburbs with other areas considered upon consultation.
Please note travel charges and cancellation fees do apply.
At Littleversity we understand that it takes a village to raise a child, and so, we believe in working alongside you with your child and family, as well as other members of their care team such as educators and other therapists.
As such, we welcome and encourage the involvement of key supports in therapy sessions (where and as often as possible), as well as encouraging record keeping to monitor progress between sessions and identify areas of further support that may be required.
It is expected that parents/guardians of children accessing Littleversity supports through school/childcare or other education sites, where parents are not able to be present for regular sessions, complete a parent-therapist only meeting at least 1x per quarter. This will be up to 1 hour in length, and may be completed in person, or via telehealth, and will be charged in line with other therapy costs. This can occur during school holidays whilst the child has a break from regular therapy schedules. The purpose of these parent-therapist meetings is to ensure that therapy skills are being translated into other environments, such as home, and that our therapists can best support you working on your child's goals.
