Please reach us at hello@littleversity.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We identify continuity of care as being very important to our clients and their caregivers, therefore, we will continue to offer services to long-term clients. This will however be determined on a case-by-case basis, and demonstrated commitment to engagement in therapy (including work between sessions) and communication with your therapist will also be factored in.
This will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for a free discussion, complete the enquiry form, or send us an email hello@littleversity.com.au
If accepted, commitment to engaging in therapy (including work between sessions) and communication with your therapist will also be monitored.
Littleversity are a mobile service and are able to provide services at a range of locations. This can be negotiated in discussion upon completing your service agreement.
It is noted that our therapists provide services at your preferred locations at their discretion. Your therapist can decline to offer services at your home location for any reason, at any time. This will be documented on your client’s file. Where possible, if a safety risk has been identified, we will attempt to resolve this with you in the first instance to allow services to continue to be provided at your preferred location.
We ask that you take care to provide a safe and clean environment for our therapists to work in if your home is your preferred location for services.
We also ask that you advise of any animals at your home that may roam freely (such as dogs, cats, etc), and that they are placed away from the area where you would like our therapists to access. Whilst we love all your animals, they can be a safety risk for our therapists and disrupt your child’s learning.
Littleversity is committed to providing support and education to parents, caregivers and other key supports. This helps in working on skills and goals between sessions. We want to ensure that you have flexibility where required and understand that things do happen, however, also strongly encourage parents, caregivers or a key support to be present and able to engage in therapy as much as possible to assist in implementing therapy tasks at home.
A therapy session will typically be set at 45 minutes (charged at 60 minutes to include 15 minutes for case notes, pack up and homework discussions) – unless otherwise negotiated. We ask that, where possible, you plan around this for completion of your household tasks.
To ensure that client’s sessions are individualised and tailored to their needs and goals, as well as to comply with regulations/standards, the occupational therapist must complete essential case notes to document and monitor progress. This can require time outside of the therapy session to ensure that the notes accurately reflect the session and for the therapist to plan for the next session.
Our therapists also aim to ensure that parents, caregivers or another key support is briefed on the work to be done between sessions.
We understand that a child’s goals and skills may also include social and emotional regulation, which can be great to practice with siblings. We welcome other children to be involved in therapy. However, it is important to note that Littleversity is not a babysitting service, and so at times, the therapist may need to ask to have other children otherwise entertained whilst they focus on the child who the service is intended for. Please note, a parent or caregiver must be present AT ALL TIMES (i.e., in the same room) when a sibling is involved in therapy, this includes when services are provided at your own home.
If you would like your other children to receive 1:1 therapy as well, this can be arranged through consultation with Olivia. Additional services for other children will incur their own therapy costs. There are no discounts for multiple children. It should be noted that there may be a waiting list at the time you sign up your other children, which is expected to be respected. Additionally, it may not be possible to book multiple siblings with back-to-back sessions – depending on the therapists availability. This can be negotiated, discussed and arranged as soon as is possible. Travel costs will always be minimised where possible.
Olivia has worked in a multi-disciplinary team previously, and understands the value of joining all the dots together. Olivia is happy to work with external providers for joint therapy sessions, provided that the two are able to make therapy appointment times work for both, and that a location is agreed upon.
It may be required to charge a fee of up to 30 minutes for consultation with external providers for adequate planning before your child’s next appointment to ensure therapy activities and goals will align, and for any required debriefing on the previous session.
Please call, SMS or email Olivia ASAP when you need to cancel.

Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee at 100% of the session cost (travel fees will no longer apply and therefore not be charged for a cancellation). This is stated and agreed to in your signed service agreement.
Please reschedule sessions where/when possible – flexibility is encouraged for any reschedules.
Sessions cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice will not incur a cancellation fee.
Discretion will be applied to the cancellation policy.
That’s really exciting and I’m extremely jealous – but please speak to us ASAP (via phone, SMS, email or in-person at your child’s next appointment) upon knowing of any sessions that need to be missed, school holidays or otherwise. Rescheduling appointments is always encouraged for the best therapeutic outcomes for your child.
As above, sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee at 100% of the session cost (travel fees will no longer apply and therefore not be charged for a cancellation). Sessions cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice will not incur a cancellation fee.
Yes! We understand that sometimes the school setting is what works best for your family. Occupational therapy services can be a huge compliment for your child’s learning and their development of skills. We also love to work with educators to better support your child’s learning.
This will of course though be dependent on the child’s school, the availability of space for therapy sessions to occur in, and any other factors imposed by the school. Additional fees may also be charged for this service, depending on if Littleversity is charged a fee by the school to conduct services. This fee will be dependent on how much the school charges Littleversity. Where possible, Littleversity want to reduce additional costs for its clients and will do everything we can to reduce these fees for you. If the school does not charge any fees to Littleversity for conducting services, no additional fee will be applied. We encourage Littleversity clients and families to stay up to date with these fees through discussion with your school.
We also expect our client’s accessing services through schools etc., to maintain regular reciprocal communication with the therapist regarding progress monitoring. Additionally, we request parents engage in a parent-therapist meeting at least 1x per term to discuss progress.
We understand that life is complex and busy, and so if you are unable to commit to engaging in therapy homework tasks, you may need to consider if now is the right time to commit your child to therapy sessions with Littleversity.
Progress is hard to achieve without consistent practice. 1 session once a week or fortnight without practice between sessions won’t achieve any goals or develop skills quickly. Therapy takes work and practice, and the responsibility for implementing this is mostly aimed towards parents and caregivers. Please discuss with Olivia your routines and lifestyles to create therapy homework schedules that work for you, and to discuss how therapy can be adapted into those established routines.
We agree that school work is important, but so is therapy homework. Therapy sessions and the homework that is given, is done so to work on important skills and goals – ones that often will help your child in the school environment. The homework that is provided will be given to have as minimal impact on your current routines and lifestyles as possible. If you think it may be too difficult to implement the therapy given, talk with Olivia and discuss your routines to see how the homework can be modified to suit better.
There may be some times where therapy homework is not able to be easily adapted into your current routines e.g., primitive reflex exercises, and so these will be prescribed to be implemented as few times per week as possible. Activities/homework such as these will only be given in short timeframes – e.g., 5-10 minute sessions.
